Fleet Technician

DeVivo Companies currently has a full-time Fleet Technician opening at our location in Lancaster, NY. This position works at a customer facility and will help maintain a fleet of 140 dry vans, 120 reefer trailers and 6 yard horses.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair fleet of trailers per industry standards.
  • Follow established technical & administrative processes.
  • Complete repair orders, parts usage forms, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, & customers.
  • Remain current on technical & regulation requirements.
  • Perform road service calls and road rescue/transport equipment as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules, regulations, and government guidelines.

Position Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience as an automotive, truck, bus, or trailer technician.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete job assignments.
  • Proficient with computer operation/usage.
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
  • Reliable, motivated, strong work ethic, and a can-do attitude.
  • Owns and maintains the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
  • A New York State motor vehicle inspector certificate is preferred but not required.
